The Childcare Emergency First Aid Course is suitable for students ages 12 and up.* This is an 8 hour course. Usually offered on a Saturday from 9am-5pm however, on-site courses can be arranged during times convenient to your group. The minimum class size is 6.
This basic one-day course designed to introduce caregivers to injury prevention skills and knowledge. Course covers lifesaving first aid skills and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR and AED) for children, and babies. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial early childhood education and daycare worker safety requirements.*Students under 12 that have passed the Babysitter Course are also invited to register for this course.
Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps;100% attendance and participation; 75% min. passing grade on a written, open book knowledge evaluation; and adherence to the Fundamental Principles.
